Wilson Wins 2015 AICA Honorary Award for Distinguished Contribution to
Art Criticism. XLVIII AICA International Congress London 2015, 29
October 2015. The
AICA Honorary Award for Distinguished Contribution to Art Criticism is
being given this year to art historian, critic, and curator Sarah
Wilson. A professor of modern and contemporary art at the Courtauld
Institute in London, Wilson has curated shows like “Paris, Capital of
the Arts, 1900–1968,” at the Royal Academy in London and the Guggenheim
Museum in Bilbao, and “Pierre Klossowski and the Vicious Circle,” which
appeared at Whitechapel Art Gallery. She has written about Sheila
Hicks, Germaine Richier, Judit Riegl, and Niki de Saint Phalle, among
others.
